I am Love

I am not my past. 

I am not what people think of me

I am the breath that flows through me

I am the mountains that surround the playa of my soul 

I am the colors of the ocean and the particles of dust 

That dance in perfect synthesis with the music of my heart 

The ships that glimmer on the horizon of my mind 

The fireflies that follow my thoughts 

The laugh, the hug, the moment shared with a friend 

The trance I slip into when I dance ‘til the end 

My soul in perfect harmony with my body 

Hips moving of their own distinct accord 

I am the eternal essence, the sanatan dharma 

I am love in all its wild and mysterious forms 

In this moment and all the ones that came before it 

I am at once Nature’s best-kept secret

And the fearless founding mother of her truth.
